Growing up in an African homestead one would easily admire the craftsmanship around the house that women easily created whiling away the hours before resuming their usual tasks. Africancrab was borne of this. When Harriet was given her first crochet hook by her aunt, she took it upon herself to learn as much as she could on this amazing craft.

From the pearl of Africa; Uganda, Harriet aka Africancrab had a talent for crochet from an early age of 6. Thanks to the internet, she was able to perfect that art and taught herself how to create pieces by watching videos on YouTube. She would later go on to sell these handcrafted pieces. She has been creating handmade accessories for more than 35 years and enjoys the thrill of freestyle designing and knitting. Harriet runs and manages her shop, Africancrab from home.
